HELPING COMMUNITIES

Feeling Safe During COVID-19

While everyone has been affected by the pandemic, those that ACHIEVEability serves are among the hardest hit. Our community has a high need and we are more committed than ever to provide services and link families to resources that will see them safely through this crisis. BUT, we need your help.

Armoni has been a participant in ACHIEVEability’s Family Self-Sufficiency Program for three years. In 2020 when the world changed, so did Armoni and her family’s lives. She found herself at home – her hours as an assistant teacher cut in half and her studies at Thomas Jefferson University put on pause, now assuming the role of teacher to her 6-year-old and toddler. Changes like these have been stressful for so many of us, including Armoni. But ACHIEVEability stepped up to help ensure she and her boys have the resources and support to thrive in their new normal.

ACHIEVEability gave Armoni a computer to help her school-aged son with his at-home e-learning, as well as connect the family to community resources to help her through this crisis.
