National Volunteer Month

ACHIEVEability was proud to host volunteer groups from Hamilton Lane, PECO and Leadership Philadelphia during National Volunteer Month, respectively on April 4th, April 8th and April 18th.

The month of April marks National Volunteer Month, with National Volunteer Week taking place this year from April 6-12. Since its inception in 1974, millions of Americans have volunteered billions of hours during National Volunteer Week. The week celebrates ordinary people doing extraordinary things to improve communities across the nation.

This was Hamilton Lane’s first volunteer project with ACHIEVEability. The group of 20 volunteers helped ACHIEVEability to prepare one home for a new family by painting and cleaning. Hamilton Lane is looking forward to scheduling their next project in the upcoming summer months.

During National Volunteer Week a group of 15 volunteers from PECO helped ACHIEVEability to paint and clean one property. This was PECO’s third volunteer project with ACHIEVEability over the past year. PECO has made a commitment to volunteer with ACHIEVEability at least three times this year.

A group of 10 volunteers from Leadership Philadelphia painted and cleaned on ACHIEVEability home. This was the first Leadership Philadelphia project in a little more than 2 years. The group included individuals from Accenture, Ballard Spahr and PECO, just to name a few.

ACHIEVEability would like to thank all of the volunteers from Hamilton Lane, PECO and Leadership Philadelphia who participated during National Volunteer Month.
