Community Town Hall Meeting

Town Hall Meeting

On Thursday, July 26, 2012 ACHIEVEability hosted a Town Hall Meeting at the West Philadelphia Salvation Army. More than 80 individuals were in attendance including local residents, dignitaries and community stakeholders.

Those in attendance received information pertaining to education and community resources. Various local educational organizations gave presentations including Education Opportunity Center, Graduate Philadelphia and i-Lead.

The Town Hall Meeting also included an informative presentation  by PA State Representative Vanessa Lowery Brown who addressed the new voter ID laws, the homestead act and Pennsylvania budget cuts. In addition, the event included presentations by Councilman Curtis Jones, Jr., District Attorney Seth Williams and newly appointed 19th District Philadelphia Police Captain Bologna.

ACHIEVEability is pleased to know that we can continue to partner with local residents, politicians and community supporters to help transform the lives of the families that we touch.
