DeSean Jackson X-Speed Camp

An excited group of twenty ACHIEVEability youth participated in the DeSean Jackson Foundation 10 X-Speed Camp on Saturday, May 12, 2012. The entire camp of Philadelphia area youth enjoyed a day full of football drills and training.

As part of the DeSean Jackson Foundation 10 for Pancreatic Cancer, the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver held his third annual Speed Camp at Marcus Foster Memorial Stadium. All proceeds benefit pancreatic cancer research. Bill Jackson, DeSean's father, passed away from the disease in May 2009.

One of our ACHIEVEability youth, Rajaa, was the winner of a DeSean Jackson autographed football. Rajaa won the football from her response to the question about what she learned at Speed Camp. She responded, “to face hardships and push through them."

Along with his camp, Jackson hosted the 2012 Community Health Days at the Triumph Baptist Church. This event included health screenings, cancer seminars, kids activities and live music. He is urging individuals to spread the word about pancreatic cancer to help others catch this silent killer before it's too late.
