Philly Spring Clean-Up

On Saturday, April 14, 2012, ACHIEVEability participated in the 5th Annual Philly Spring Clean-Up. A crew of volunteers from Ready Willing and Able swept Market Street between 58th and 62nd Streets and cleaned several abandoned lots. A group of ACHIEVEability participants and staff and community members planted a vegetable garden at the ACHIEVEability Community Office.

In all, more than 20 volunteers help to participate in the project to beautify the local area. A special thanks to Ready Willing and Able who continue to be a strong partner in helping keep the Market street corridor free of litter and safe for traversing.

The citywide day of clean-up is sponsored by the Philadelphia Streets Department. For more information on Philly Spring Clean-Up, please visit their webite.
