ACHIEVEability Children Take 1st Place

The ACHIEVEability Super Readers Team was awarded a blue ribbon at the 2011 Philadelphia Reading Olympics when they competed at St. Joseph’s University on Monday, May 9th! This contest was city-wide, highly educational and extremely challenging - over 1,700 students participated, representing grades fourth through eighth from public, parochial, private and charter schools. The ACHIEVEability Super Readers prevailed and are very excited about continuing their reading club this summer.  That’s what this competition is all about:  instilling a love of reading at an early age!

Congratulations Diavian Gunner, Tavante Hill, Samyra Orr, Kianna Spraggans, Kayla Daniels-Redden, Ruqiyyah Idris, Rajaa Idris, and Maryam Shafeeq!
