Town Hall Meeting - Weatherization

The ACHIEVEability Community Services Office held its quarterly Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, December 3, 2016. More than 30 community residents were in attendance for the meeting at Divine Destiny Community Fellowship Church.

A special thanks to Barbara McDuffie of United Communities Southeast Philadelphia who gave a great presentation on proper home weatherization techniques from the basement to the top floor. Weatherization kits were given out to everyone in attendance. In addition, community residents had the opportunity to apply for LIHEAP. The Time of Year for Giving Thanks

ACHIEVEability is thankful for all of our wonderful donors who contributed to this year's Thanksgiving Dinner Drive. Because of their generosity, we were able to provide complete Thanksgiving meals, including the turkey and all the fixins' to 160 families in our program and the local West Philadelphia community! You have shown our organization, and the families and community we serve, the true meaning of Thanksgiving!

A special thanks to Christine Beare Hoff and The Hoff Family, The Bryant Family and Avox Technologies/Raytech USA, and 62 Blues Soccer for donating food and gift cards to support more than 50 of our families. We are truly grateful for the support we received from Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant who provided 25 fully cooked meals for our families. We also want to thank International Flavors & Fragrances Inc./Ottens Flavors for providing donations to support 24 families, Drexel University College of Computing and Informatics for donating food and funds for 15 families, and Buck Consultants, a Xerox Company, Sullivan's Steakhouse - King of Prussia and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius and Ten Penn Center Associates for supporting 10 families each.
