Making the Season Brighter

ACHIEVEability staff and families thank all of our donors who supported this year’s annual Holiday Gift Drive, making it the best year yet! Because of their incredible generosity, 559 children received holiday gifts from their respective wish lists.

A special thanks to Anthropologie and Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill (PCCH) who supported the Holiday Gift Drive. This marked the 10th consecutive year Anthropologie supported the drive and they provided gifts for 185 children. This was the 15th consecutive year PCCH contributed to the drive and they donated gifts for 25 children.

We also want to thank Arcadis, Conduent, Dechert LLP, FS Investments, Hamilton Lane, The Hoff Family and Friends, Jones Lang LaSalle, Tau Gamma Delta Sorority, Urban Outfitters, Inc., and various individual donors. Your support made the season brighter for the families and community we support.

ACHIEVEability is Thankful

ACHIEVEability is thankful for all of our wonderful donors who contributed to this year's Thanksgiving Dinner Drive. Because of their generosity, we were able to provide complete Thanksgiving meals, including the turkey and all the fixins', to more than 200 families in our program and the local West Philadelphia community!

A special thanks to first time ACHIEVEability donor Sedgwick via Ten Penn Center who donated $1,115 in cash and gift cards to our Thanksgiving Dinner Drive. These proceeds were raised from their second annual Thanksgiving Annual Turkey Bowl.

We also want to thank Christine Beare Hoff and The Hoff Family, The Bryant Family and Avox Technologies/Raytech USA for donating food and nearly $1,000 in gift cards. We are truly grateful for the ongoing support we received from Manayunk Brewery and Restaurant who provided nearly 40 fully cooked meals for our families. We also want to thank Drexel University College of Computing and Informatics, Morgan Lewis, Ten Penn Center Associates, Conduent, Upper Darby High School, Tau Gamma Delta Sorority Incorporated Eastern Region and various individual donors.

ACHIEVEability is also thankful for ShopRite of Parkside and ACME Marketswho each gave incredible discounts for the purchase of turkeys and various food items, and REI who donated bags.

Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia Insurance Companies Community Teammate

ACHIEVEability Executive Director Jamila Harris-Morrison was honored as the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia Insurance Companies Community Teammate during the Flyers game on Monday, October 30, 2017. Thank You Grant Thornton Volunteers

For the fifth consecutive year, employees from Grant Thornton LLP have supported ACHIEVEability by volunteering their time and energy as part of their annual volunteer day. On Friday, October 20th, 12 volunteers helped to paint and clean common spaces at one of our residencies. It was a beautiful day in October, which helped to motivate the volunteers to successfully complete the job in under four hours.

EY Connect Day 2017

For the sixth consecutive year, employees from Ernst & Young have supported ACHIEVEability by volunteering their time and energy as part of their annual EY Connect Day. On Friday, October 6th, 18 volunteers helped to paint and clean common spaces at one of our residencies. It was a beautiful fall day, which helped to energize the EY volunteers to successfully complete the job.
