Since 1981, ACHIEVEability has worked to improve the quality of life of single parent, low-income familes, many formerly homeless, through education, supportive services, community and economic development, housing and accountability. At ACHIEVEability, we believe that housing is a necessary first step to ending poverty. But we know that in order to truly achieve permanent self-sufficiency and financial freedom, education is the key. In the 2007 – 2008 school year, 19 of our clients received college degrees and eight ACHIEVEability families moved into permanent housing! With over 100 clients currently in our program, our work remains vital and necessary.
