Marcus Allen, Chief Executive Officer
Marcus
began serving as CEO for ACHIEVEability as of September 8, 2009. The Board unanimously selected Marcus based on his impressive accomplishments leading VisionQuest, a national youth services agency that empowers its clients to become self-sufficient and productive individuals. While at VisionQuest, Marcus was responsible for expanding services in Philadelphia and implementing new and innovative programs to strengthen and support kids and families. A former professional basketball player, Marcus served in the National Guard, founded two charity organizations and devoted his post-athletic career to helping families in the Philadelphia community.

Jasmine Eaddy, Vice President of Self-Sufficiency
Joined the ACHIEVEability leadership team as the new Vice President of Self-Sufficiency on November 16, 2009. Jasmine has over 15 years of non-profit management experience. Prior to joining ACHIEVEability, Jasmine was the Vice President of the Philadelphia Workforce Development Corporation. In this capacity she provided oversight to employment and training vendors with a total of over 500 staff. She was also responsible for the implementation of the Philadelphia EARN Centers who continue to serve thousands of TANF participants. As Director of Clinical Services for JEVS Human Services, Jasmine provided clinical supervision to MSWs in support of the Maximizing Participation Project. In this capacity she successfully hired and trained over 120 staff within a 2 year period. Jasmine also has experience managing drug and alcohol and homelessness prevention programs. Jasmine is the Vice Chair of the Board for Utility Emergency Services Fund.
Aleshia Shorter, Controller of Finance and Administration
Aleshia worked for many years as a Finance Executive in the hospitality industry. She has also been a financial consultant with Mothers-In-Charge, an anti-violence non-profit. Aleshia holds a BBA in Accounting from Howard University. She is a licensed Pennsylvania Real Estate Salesperson and a volunteer mentor with the Sponsor-A-Scholar program of Philadelphia Futures
Gerard Pescatore, Vice President of Real Estate
Gerard brings over 14 years of experience in real estate and finance, most recently as a project manager for a large-scale commercial development project in Brewerytown. He worked on affordable housing projects while at the Bucks County Office of Community Development and managed the development of a multi-use residential/commercial project as a project manager for the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation. With a BA from Muhlenberg College and MA in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, he also has a great knowledge of local real estate markets gained during MA program internships at the Philadelphia City Planning Commission and the Partnership CDC.
Terry Guerra, Vice President of Special Projects and Partnerships
Terry has been with ACHIEVEability since 1996. She works in the areas of resource, housing and community development. She has studied at the Society for Human Resource Management, and is also a member. She has received training in fundraising at Villanova University through the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and in nonprofit management through La Salle University’s Nonprofit Management Development Center, and has a professional certificate in Affordable Housing Development through NeighborWorks America.
